Whole Notes Extra!!!

Happy Valentine's Day kids!!! Wow...who knew we'd be getting a brand spankin' new tour this year!!?? In case you have been hibernating and aren't aware of what's cookin' in the H&O stew pot....read on my friends, read on...

"DO WHAT YOU WANT, BE WHAT YOU ARE TOUR - 2010" - Daryl & John are heading out on the road to support their career spanning box set that was released in October 2009. Dates are being reported sporadically. Thus far we know the guys kick off the tour on March 27th...here are the released dates & locations:

March 27 - Austin, TX - The Long Center
April 30 - Biloxi, MS - Beau Rivage Resort & Casino
May 4 - Morristown, NJ - Community Theatre at Mayo Center for the Performing Arts
May 6 - Englewood, NJ - Bergen PAC
May 8 - Atlantic City, NJ - The Borgata Hotel & Casino
May 9 - Mashantucket, CT - MGM Grand Theater @ Foxwoods
June 5 - Virginia Beach, VA - Virginia Beach Patriotic Festival

DARYL & JOHN 'ROCK THE RABBIT' - The March issue of Playboy magazine is on news stands now! It's the bunny's annual 'Sex & Music' issue and H&O posed for a few CLOTHED pics...though only one makes it in the mag...it's WELL worth it! A must have for H&O collectors out there for sure!

ELIOT LEWIS LIVE - Looking for something to do on Valentine's Eve? Well if you are in New England or the metro NYC area I know the perfect place!! Groove to some awesome music and dine on delicious fare at Leon's Restaurant in New Haven, CT. There is a pre fixe menu for the evening and reservations are available. Eliot goes on at 7:30PM and plays until 11:30PM. Whether you are looking for somewhere to take your sweetie or celebrating being single with friends...this is the place!!! Hope to see lots of you! If you can't make this one, Eliot will of course forgive you...and he offers additional options for your convenience...so get out there already!!

LFDH IN PARADISE - This month's LFDH was taped earlier this month in Jamaica mon!! The show was taped in Ocho Rios and features musical guest reggae master Toots Hibbert of Toots & The Maytals. The guest "chef" for this visit into Daryl's world is Suzanne Couch...check her out HERE. Visit HOF.com for more details and discussion!!

JOHN OATES ON TOUR! - John has some solo shows coming up within the next few weeks. If you are in the area...get out there and support him! I promise you will not be disappointed!! John tells the amazing stories behind the songs he has written as well as songs that have impacted him throughout his musical career. Here are the dates and locations:

March 21 - Evanston, IL - Space

DARYL & CHROMEO @ BONNAROO! - Tennessee's famed Bonnaroo festival announced it's 2010 lineup earlier this week and to everyone's surprise Daryl, Dave 1 and P-Thugg will be reliving their 2008 LFDH get together for all of the festival attendees! Tickets are available for the festival at Bonnaroo.com. You can also find info regarding the lineup and official festival merch!

HALL & OATES TRIBUTE ALBUMS - There are currently two Hall & Oates tribute albums out there. If you are looking for an alternative to the H&O sound check these out!! First up is "The Dark Side of Hall & Oates" by Koot Hoomi. Check out their website HERE for sample tracks and the history behind the album. A personal favorite is their version of "Say It Isn't So". Also, the Koot Hoomi ringleader Robert Lurie is a member of the HOF message board and there is a thread dedicated to the album...post your questions and I am sure he'll be happy to respond!

Another H&O tribute to check out is from synthpop/alternative group The Bird And The Bee which features vocalist Inara George and multi-instrumentalist Greg Kurstin. The title of the album is Interpreting The Masters Volume 1: A Tribute To Daryl Hall And John Oates and it is scheduled for release March 23 on EMI Records. Check out The Bird And The Bee HERE.
