Whole Notes Extra!

Welcome to 2010!!! I hope that everyone is enjoying the New Year. There's a bunch of stuff going on so let's get to it!!

LIVE FROM DARYL'S HOUSE - It's official! As we've been reporting for a while now, Eli "Paperboy" Reed will be January's LFDH guest! Also tune in to see Alan Gorrie of AWB jam with the guys. Be prepared to indulge in 9 tracks this month!! Here's the set list:

Uncanny
Storm Warning (The Volcanoes) - Also an outtake from H&O's 'Change of Season' album
Starting All Over Again (Mel & Tim)
I Found Love (The Falcons & Wilson Pickett)
Pick Up The Pieces (AWB)
I Need Your Loving Everyday (Don Gardner & Dee Dee Ford)
I Found You Out (Eli Reed)
Take My Love With You (Eli Reed)
Pick A Number (Eli Reed)
You Can Run On (Eli Reed)

DARYL & FACEBOOK - I'd like to let everyone know that Daryl's Facebook page is now back up and running. A few days ago it went M.I.A.! You can click HERE to be taken to the page!

DARYL & JOHN FILMING - Earlier this week the Jamaica Observer reported that Daryl & John will be filming a "tv show" in the hills of St Ann near Nine Miles. We are unsure at this point if they are filming LFDH but one can certainly infer that from the information that has been provided. Guests at the filming will be Toots Hibbert & Suzanne Couch. Filming will take place on January 26th & 27th just before D & J are scheduled to perform at the Jazz Fest as the closing act on January 30th.

JOHN @ 30A SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL - JO will be performing at the first annual '30A Songwriters Festival' later this week in Florida. The festival takes place from January 15th - 17th in a number of towns that make up Northwest Florida's Gulf Coast. The festival will feature performances by over 50 singer/songwriters including LoCash Cowboys, Susana Hoffs and Matthew Sweet just to name a few. Check out John's website for the most up to date info on gig locations and times!

I think that does it for this weeks updates!! Any questions or comments? Please feel free to email me!

I've always enjoyed Hall and Oates. I wonder whether they ever took any voice lessons. Not because they need it, but I wonder if they are so good because they had some voice coaching? My daughter is in a classical vocal training program but prefers to sing more pop style like H&O. But it seems to be good training to set her up for it. Just wondering. www.prosinging.com
