Whole Notes Extra!!

Happy Holidays kids!!! I hope everyone is staying nice and warm!! Did Santa bring you everything your heart desires? Hope so! There's a bunch of stuff going on in H&O-land this week!! Lot's of updates! So let's get started!!

ELIOT LEWIS - Eliot will be performing his second NYC show this evening!! Check out this amazing Rock 'N Soul show @ Prohibition located at 503 Columbus Ave, NYC, NY. There is no cover and the show starts at 9:30 PM. I hear tell that Mr. Lewis has some hot new tunes in his bag of tricks!! So, get out there and support our H&O musicians!! Make sure you tell 'em Hall & Oates Forever sent ya!!

JOHN OATES - JO has just recently announced that he will be performing at the first annual '30A Songwriters Festival'. The festival takes place from January 15th - 17th in a number of towns that make up Northwest Florida's Gulf Coast. The festival will feature performances by over 50 singer/songwriters including LoCash Cowboys, Susana Hoffs and Matthew Sweet just to name a few. Check out John's website for the most up to date info on gig locations and times!

ZEV KATZ - Our very own H&O low tone provider was spotted on TV Tuesday evening. For what you ask?! Zev was seen playing bass on the 32nd Annual Kennedy Center Honors show which was aired on CBS. This is the second year Zev has been a part of the annual event.

LFDH - For all of you LFDH fans out there (I mean...who isn't?!?)...the next LFDH will presumably feature Eli "Paperboy" Reed, a Boston musician whom I am quite fond of. Check out some of his stuff here on YouTube before January 15th to get you in the mood!

POSSESSION OBSESSION - How many of you out there are H&O memorabilia collectors? Or, maybe you collect Hall & Oates audio or video instead? Whatever H&O "ooh yeah" item might be...remember on the HOF Message Board there is a 'Wish List' thread where traders can visit to post their want lists, trade lists, or even items that you may no longer want. If you're already an HOF member click here to visit the wish list. Not a member yet?? What are you waiting for?? Click here to sign up!

WOLFGANG'S VAULT - For those of you that LOVE H&O audio 'stuff', Wolfgang's Vault has some awesome live concerts, previously 'listen-only' shows, now available for purchase and download. Each of the eight shows is $9.98 and range in length from 56 minutes up to 1.5 hours. If you can only get one or two of these gems my suggestions would be the 1982 Hampton Coliseum show if only for the stellar version of Sara Smile and the 1978 Pittsburgh Civic Center gig which is PACKED with rarities! And the beauty of it all...you can listen before you buy! Brilliant!

OK...I think that does it for the updates today! On behalf of Charlene, I'd like to wish you all a safe and happy New Year.

The Kennedy Center show also had Kenny Aronoff as the drummer, whom I recognized as the drummer on one of the Live From Daryl's House episodes.
