John Oates to Perform at June 25th
New York – The New York Songwriters’ Circle, lower Manhattan’s incubator for America’s next great singer/songwriter, is proud to announce that John Oates of Hall & Oates fame and a long time supporter of the 18 year-old New York Songwriters Circle, will perform at a Special Circle showcase event on Thursday, June 25th at the legendary Bitter End nightclub in New York City ’s West Village .
John Oates will be joined on the 25th by long time Bitter End regular and the distinctive voice of Phoebe Snow (”Poetry Man” – Best new artist Grammy nominee), 2003 Grammy Award Winning singer/songwriter Jesse Harris (for “Don’t Know Why” on Norah Jones’ album Come Away with Me), the most successful songwriter on Music Row in Nashville Marcus Hummon (who wrote “Bless the Broken Road,” recorded by Rascal Flatts), singer/songwriter and the President & Artistic Director of the NYSC Tina Shafer (who has written songs for Celine Dion, Sheena Easton and Donna Summers) and the soulful Gulf Coast offerings of singer/songwriter Reed Waddle.
